Dear Friends:
Most of you probably know about the devastating earthquake that has struck Port-au-Prince, Haiti. First and foremost the region needs prayer. On Monday, January 18th at 7:00 p.m. Macedonia will be commemorating the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. During our program a special prayer will be offered for the people affected by the disaster, and those who are helping with the relief efforts.
As part of our Christian outreach, the offering collected during the program will be sent to the American Red Cross to be designated for the areas in Haiti affected by the earthquake. Our desire is to send a generous amount. If you have a contribution please bring it to the program. Also, let others know by copying and distributing this flyer by email, fax, word of mouth, etc. Please help us as we roll up our sleeves and get to work. We will continue our drive throughout the year in collaboration with the American Red Cross. We pray you will join us; our collective efforts can make a difference.
